# Nexalytica Sign-In and Onboarding: Getting Started

> Create your Nexalytica account, verify your identity, join or create an organisation, and activate a plan — all in a few minutes.

Getting into Nexalytica for the first time takes only a few steps: sign in, confirm who you are, land in the right organisation, and pick a plan that fits your team. This guide walks you through every screen in that flow so you can reach the workspace with confidence.

## Sign In

Nexalytica supports two sign-in methods. Choose the one that suits you.

<Tabs>
  <Tab title="Social sign-in (Google or GitHub)">
    Click **Continue with Google** or **Continue with GitHub** on the sign-in page. Because these providers verify your identity directly, Nexalytica trusts them automatically — no extra verification step is needed. You land straight on the onboarding screen after authorising the connection.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Email and password">
    Enter your email address and password, then click **Sign in**. Nexalytica sends a **6-digit verification code** to your email address. Open the email, type the code into the prompt, and submit it to continue.

    If the code email takes a while to arrive, click **Resend** to request a new one. The resend button has a **60-second cooldown** between requests. If you have already verified your email in another browser tab, click **I have verified my email** to check your verification status without re-entering the code.
  </Tab>
</Tabs>

## Join or Create an Organisation

After your identity is confirmed, Nexalytica shows a **Welcome to Nexalytica** screen that checks for existing connections and presents the most relevant path forward.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Review pending invitations">
    If someone has already invited your email address to an organisation, those invitations appear first. Each card shows the organisation name, department, and the role you have been assigned. Click **Accept** on any card to join that organisation immediately, or **Reject** to decline.

    <Tip>
      You can accept multiple invitations in sequence. After accepting one, Nexalytica returns you to this screen if other pending invitations remain.
    </Tip>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Join a domain-matched organisation">
    If your email domain matches an existing Nexalytica organisation, that organisation appears as a suggestion. Click **Request to join** to send a membership request to the organisation's admins. Your card shows **Pending approval** while the request is being reviewed.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create your own organisation">
    If no invitations or domain matches apply — or if you want a fresh org — click **Create my own organisation instead**. Fill in two fields:

    | Field             | Requirement                                                         |
    | ----------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------- |
    | Organisation name | Minimum 2 characters; letters, numbers, spaces, and hyphens allowed |
    | URL slug | Auto-filled from the name; you can edit it freely |

    Click **Create organisation** and you become the permanent owner of the new organisation.
  </Step>

## Open an Invite Link

If a colleague sends you a direct invite link rather than inviting your email through the dashboard, clicking the link opens a dedicated preview screen. Review the details shown — organisation name, department, assigned role, and link expiry date — then click **Accept & continue** to join. You are taken straight into the organisation workspace.

If you are not yet signed in when you open an invite link, Nexalytica prompts you to sign in first and then returns you to the invitation automatically.

<Warning>
  Invite links expire on the date shown. If your link has expired or been revoked, you will see an **Invitation unavailable** message. Ask the organisation owner or an admin to send a new one.
</Warning>

## Pick a Plan

Once you are inside an organisation, Nexalytica prompts you to activate a plan. Only **organisation owners** and **admins** can complete this step.

<Info>
  If you are a regular member, you will see a **Plan selection required** screen instead. It lists the email addresses of the organisation's billing admins so you can ask them to activate a plan.
</Info>

Where both monthly and yearly billing are available for a plan, a **Monthly / Yearly** toggle lets you switch between billing intervals. The most popular plan is highlighted, and your current plan is labelled **Current plan**.
