The chat list
Your recent conversations live in the contextual panel on the left of the Chats area.| Control / Button | What it does |

| New Chat button (top of the panel) | Starts a fresh, empty conversation and opens it. |
| Search box | Filters the list to chats whose title contains what you type. |
| Chat row (click) | Opens that conversation in the main area. |
| Chat row (middle-click) | Opens the conversation in the background without leaving your current view. |
| Row ”…” (More) menu | Reveals on hover; holds the per-chat actions below. |
| ”…” -> Edit | Opens a small dialog to rename the chat. |
| ”…” -> Share | Opens the share dialog for that chat. |
| ”…” -> Delete | Asks you to confirm, then moves the chat to Trash. It is kept for the retention window (3 days) and can be restored. |
| Create Chat button (empty playground) | When no conversation is open, the centre of the screen shows a “Start a conversation” prompt with this button. |
Inside a conversation
When a chat is open, a slim header bar replaces the normal top bar.Header controls

| Chat title | Shows the conversation’s name. Click it to edit inline — press Enter to save or Escape to cancel. |
| Agent name | A label next to the title showing which AI agent is answering. |
| Sources (N) | Opens a side panel listing your data sources. Tick a source to attach it; the number reflects how many are currently attached. |
| Artifacts | Opens a side panel for files attached to this chat. Shows a count badge when files are attached. |
| Export Chat | Generates a PDF of the whole conversation and downloads it. |
| Share | Opens the share dialog for this chat. |

| Download (on a file row) | Downloads the original file. |
| Delete (on a file row) | Removes the attachment from this chat. |
| Load more | Loads additional attachments when the list is long. |
| Close | Closes the panel. |
Reading assistant responses
Assistant replies are formatted text that can include charts, tables, dashboards, and a live timeline of the steps the agent took.| Element | What it does |

| Citation marker [1], [2] | A small numbered badge after a statement. Click it to open a popover showing the source. |
| Data-value chip | Key figures (dollar amounts, percentages) are highlighted as tinted chips. |
| Tool / step timeline | A collapsible group showing what the agent did. Expands while work is running and collapses when finished. |
| Inline charts, tables, dashboards | Visuals the agent generated, shown directly in the reply. |
| Turn timer | Shows how long the response took. |
Message-level actions

Who can use it
- Everyone with access to a chat can open it, read the conversation, use the citation and data chips, copy a reply, regenerate a response, export to PDF, and view its attached sources and artifacts.
- The chat owner and anyone shared as Editor can rename it, attach or detach data sources, upload and manage artifacts, and re-share it within their own level.
- The chat owner can delete it to Trash.
- Org Admins see only their own and shared chats in the normal list; the chat list does not expose the audited “admin view”.
